The AA Battery is GDI's main anti-air base defense.
Tiberium Essence[]
After the Second Tiberium War, GDI decided to discontinue the use of SAM Tower as their main anti-air defense. They designed a more traditional anti-air defense, with cannons instead of surface-to-air missiles. While cannons may not be as powerful as missiles, they have a faster rate of fire, cannot be evaded or intercepted, and are less likely to cause collateral damage. Like some GDI vehicles, the newest version of the AA Battery can be upgraded with Railguns, giving them even more firepower.

- The sound of AA Battery's cannons is the same as Quad Cannon's weapon sound in C&C Generals.
