The Power Plant is the basic power source for the Global Defense Initiative.
Tiberium Essence[]
The Power Plant provides vital power to GDI bases as well as being the key to a higher tier of technology. It can be upgraded with Advanced Turbines to increase its power output. Unlike Nod's Power Plant, which dumps waste directly into the ground; and the Scrin Ichor Reactor, which an irradiate an entire area with Tiberium radiation, GDI's power structure is described as 'clean and efficient'. However, since they do not utilize Tiberium-based power source, they generate less energy than its counterparts when fully upgraded.

GDI Power Plant looks more like those in Tiberium Dawn, and because engine eliminations, Advanced Turbines are added as an upgrade instead of modular parts. Same phenomenon also applies to GDI's defense towers.
