Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun is a real-time strategy video game developed by Westwood Studios and released in 1999. It is the sequel to Tiberian Dawn, and serves as the primary inspiration for Tiberium Essence.

Summary[]

Tiberian Sun is set almost thirty years after the end of Tiberian Dawn. Despite winning the First Tiberium War after the destruction of the Sarajevo Temple complex, GDI forces were unable to account for the body of Kane; a singular fact that the GDI High Council later saw as a costly oversight. This "disappearance" made Kane immortal in the eyes of some of the Brotherhood members, which allowed Nod forces to continue operating even after thirty years. Tiberian Sun follows the Global Defense Initiative Commander Michael McNeil, who is tasked with preventing the world from falling into the hands of Nod, and the Brotherhood of Nod General Anton Slavik, who must reunite the splintered Brotherhood and join Kane's fight against the GDI.
